~about the role play convention~

Oh Gott, es tut mir Leid, dass dieser Eintrag so lange auf sich hat warten lassen. Dank der Uni und den Vorbereitungen zum Wave GotikTreffen (das nächstes Wochenende stattfinden wird – Panik!) konnte ich leider nicht früher posten.

Aber jetzt:

Dieses Jahr bin ich das erste Mal zur Role Play Convention (5. + 6. Mai) in Köln gegangen. Leider konnte ich nicht schon Samstags dorthin, wo das meiste Programm stattfand, das mich interessiert hätte (danke Uni!), aber immerhin konnte ich Samstags abends die Steampunk Soirée besuchen. Die Soirée war ein kleines Treffen, organisiert von der wunderbaren Gia LaFae/ Lucia Vjadoi im Restaurant Moyos. Da waren etwa 30 bis 40 Steampunks, was den reservierten Raum schnell aus den Nähten platzen ließ. Wir haben uns unterhalten und ein paar der Anwesenden haben ihre Erfindungen vorgestellt. So zum Beispiel Horatius Steam und Admiral Aaron Ravensdale. Es hat wirklich Spaß gemacht alte Bekannte zu treffen und neue Gesichter kennen zu lernen, auch wenn ich leider nicht mit jedem Reden konnte. 

Am Sonntag dann ging es zur RPC mein Freund hat mich begleitet und auch die meisten der Bilder geschossen. Dort angekommen habe ich mich mit Andrea und ihrer Freundin getroffen. Im Vorfeld hatten wir uns darauf geeinigt in Steampunk Lolita dort aufzukreuzen und da das Thema dieses Jahr „Dark Waters“ lautete, hatte ich mich dazu entschlossen Steampunk Pirate Lolita zu tragen. Außerdem wollte ich mein neues Vollbrust Korsett von restyle.pl mal ausführen. Es ist mein ersten Vollbrust Korsett und ich freu mich tierisch, dass es so gut sitzt!

Gemeinsam sind wir dann durch die Halle und den Außenbereich gewandert. Leider habe ich nicht alle Leute getroffen, die zeitgleich mit uns da waren, dafür ist das Gelände dann doch zu groß gewesen. Dafür habe ich eine Menge interessanter Stände mit Steampunk Kram (meistens Schmuck) gefunden, die ich euch an dieser Stelle vorstellen möchte. (Leider habe ich nicht von allen Visitenkarten mitgenommen, oder aber ich hatte welche und hab sie verloren in den Tiefen meiner Tasche >_<)

Als erstes:  

Atelier Tausendschön:

Die Besitzerin ist unglaublich sympathisch und sie war auch auf der Steampunk Soirée am Abend zuvor. Außerdem ist sie eine begnadete Näherin: Ihre Unterbrust Korsetts sind wirklich der Wahnsinn (schade, dass ich keins kaufen konnte, ich hatte ja gerade erst das Vollbrust Korsett erstanden…)

 Khaos Kouture

Ich wusste gar nicht, dass Khaosprinzessin da sein würde, umso überraschter war ich, als ich ihren Stand entdeckte. Ich verfolge ihren Blog schon seit einiger Zeit und fand es super sie auch mal real zu treffen. Lustiger Weise habe ich erst ihre Kameen erkannt und dann bemerkt, wem denn da der Stand gehört^^

 

Hier kommt jetzt ein Stand, von dem ich leider keine Visitenkarte mitgenommen habe (oder sie verloren habe).  Ich weiß nur, dass sie auch auf den Elf Fantasy Fairs waren/sind. Vielleicht kennt jemand den Stand und kann mir die Homepage nennen? Denn die Sachen sind wirklich toll und verdienen ein wenig Werbung^^

Als letztes: DeadDoll’s Needfull Things

Bei diesem Stand ist es anders herum: Ich habe einen Flyer aber kein Foto gemacht. Hier konnte man tolle Krägen, Mini hats, Capes und Schmuck erstehen. Besucht doch einfach mal die Homepage um euch dort Bilder anzusehen^^

Natürlich habe ich auch eine Menge Fotos gemacht (oder meinen Freund dazu gebracht, welche zu machen ;) ) Es gab einfach so unglaublich viele tolle Klamotten und eine Menge netter Leute. Ich habe u.A. Yuki-Yume getroffen und Azamir vom Animexx Stand. Sie hatte extra einen passenden Rock zum Stand genäht! (Für, die die es nicht wissen: Animexx ist die deutsche Anime und Manga Community.)

Das war’s dann auch schon. Nächstes Wochenende ist das WGT, da gibt es dann auch wieder viele Fotos! Ich plane dieses Jahr komplett durch Steampunk zu tragen, natürlich gemischt mit Lolita! Ich hoffe, dass ich alle Leute treffen werde, von denen ich weiß, dass sie da sein werden!

I’m so sorry, this entry took so long! Due to university and the preparations for this year’s WGT in Leipzig (which is next week-end – panic!) I couldn’t post earlier.

Well then:

This year was my first time at the Role Play Convention in Cologne (5. + 6.Mai). Unfortunately I couldn’t be there on Saturday (university  >_<) when most of the program I was interested in took place. Luckily I could attend the Steampunk Soirée Saturday evening.

It was a small meet-up organized by the lovely Gia LaFae/Lucia Vjadoi at the restaurant Moyos.  About 30 Steampunks attended. We chatted and some also brought their inventions. For example Horatius Steam and Admiral Aaron Ravensdale.

I really enjoyed meeting old friends and talking to new faces although I didn’t have the chance to talk to everybody. 

Then on Sunday I headed over to the Role Play Convention. My boyfriend accompanied me and he also took most of the pictures^^

At the RPC I met Andrea, we agreed before to wear Steampunk Lolita and since this year’s theme was “Dark Waters” I decided to go for Steampunk Pirate Lolita. And I also wanted to try out my new corset from restyle.pl. It’s my first over bust corset and I’m soo happy it fits so well!

Andrea, her friend, my boyfriend and I strolled over the hall and the outdoor area together. Unfortunately I didn’t met all the people I knew that were there >_< But I found quite a lot of interesting stores, selling Steampunk stuff, mostly jewelry. Some of them I want to present you here:

First of all: Atelier Tausendschön

I really like the owner which also attended the Steampunk Soirée the day before! She’s so warm and friendly and also a really skilled seamstress when it comes to underbust corsets (such a shame I couldn’t buy one, but I already spent my money on the over bust one)

Khaos Kouture

I didn’t knew Khaosprinzessin would be there so I was really surprised when I recognized her booth. I follow her blog since a while now and it was really great to meet her in person^^ Funny though I first saw her cameos and thought: “ I know those” then I also saw her and knew where I knew the cameos from^^

Know here is booth I forgot to take a business card with me, but I know they are also at the Elf Fantasy Fairs. Maybe somebody can tell me their homepage? Because I really liked their stuff and they are totally worth advertising them!

And as a last one DeadDoll’sNeedful Things

Here it’s the other way around: I took a business card but forgot to take a picture…

They sell really cool mini hats and capes and jewelry and stuff, go check out their homepage to see some pictures ;)

Of course I took a lot of pictures that day (or forced my boyfriend to do so xD) There were so many great outfits and a lot of very nice people.

I met Yuki-Yume there and Azamir from the Animexx booth (she made a lovely animexx skirt to fit the booth^^)
